Village Fête 2025
The
annual
Bacton
Village
Fête
took
place
again
this
year
on
7th
June
although,
due
to
a
forecast
of
wet
and
windy
weather,
the
event
was
moved
from
the
Manor
lawn
to
the
church.
The
work,
completed
with
funding
assistance
from
the
Friends,
to
make
the
pews
removable
proved
its
worth,
allowing
the
central
space
to
be
be
cleared
such
that
all
the
stalls
could
set
up
under
cover
with
the
added
benefit
of
ready
availability
of
power,
kitchen
facilities
and
a
toilet.
Many
stalls
including
those
of
the
WI,
the
British
Legion,
the
Friends
of
Bacton
Primary
School,
the
Bacton
Good
Neighbours
Scheme,
Swallowtail
Preserves
and
the
Bowls
Club
offered
a
variety
of
entertainment
and
games
for
all
ages.
The
Friends’
Fête
Draw
took
place
later
in
the
day
as
well
as
the
ever
-
popular
Wheelbarrow of Booze Draw. Local duo ‘Just Us’ provided musical accompaniment.
The
move
to
the
church
was
generally
agreed
to
have
been
successful
and
the
day
raised
some £1,260 for the Friends’ funds.
