Wine Tasting 2016
The Friends’ first Wine Tasting Evening took place on 20th February in the Village Hall and was a great success, raising
almost £500 for the Friends’ funds.
Some 60 people enjoyed an excellent meal and tasted some great wines.
Sommelier David Hammond congratulates Kevin Standrin who proved to be the best at
identifying the wines (or at least, the best at guessing!) with a record score of 19
points out of a possible 32 and was rewarded with an excellent bottle of 2014 Calvet
Bordeaux Fleur Baron.
