On Saturday 3rd December, St Mary’s Church hosted an evening of seasonal music performed by the Ipswich Community Wind Band. The Concert, jointly promoted by the Friends of St Mary’s Bacton and the Friends of St George’s, Wyverstone was enjoyed by an audience of over 120 people. As well as a varied selection of well-loved seasonal music, the audience were treated, and joined in singing enthusiastically, some favourite and traditional Christmas carols. Musical Director Tom Rumbold’s entertaining anecdotes added humour to an evening thoroughly enjoyed by all.
